Okay. Jeez. Sorry, I've been busy. 4 tours in 4 days. Celebrity chefs in town. Sustainable fishmongers calling me out of the blue. Smelt running. You name it.
Anyway... lots of low tide stuff of late...
So I took the guys out on the mudflats and tide pools, and with a little (more like a lot) of help from Mike D., was able to get quite a smorgasbord of harvestable intertidal sea creatures.
Anyhoo. I didn't actually make it down to the big conference in Monterey--which I am now regretting. Next year, I guess... Here is some footage from the day with The I Love Blue Sea guys, Bun La, and salmon man John Foss, the fisherman's fishmonger, specializing (right now) in copper river salmon.
